The NASSCAL First Fridays online workshop series is a forum for discussing new and in-progress work on apocryphal Christian texts. The workshop meets on the first Friday of every month during the North American Fall and Winter semesters (September, October, November, December, February, March, April, May).
The workshop on September 4, 2026 features Stephen Hopkins (University of Virginia), who will present material from his recent book, Translating Hell: Vernacular theology and apocrypha in the medieval North Sea (Manchester University Press, 2026).
