NASSCAL First Fridays Workshops

The NASSCAL First Fridays online workshop series is a forum for discussing new and in-progress work on apocryphal Christian texts. The workshop meets on the first Friday of every month during the North American Fall and Winter semesters (September, October, November, December, February, March, April, May).

The second workshop of the Winter 2024 season features Els Rose (Utrecht University) with her paper titled “The Apocryphal Acts and the Performativity of Medieval Liturgical Practices.” The workshop takes place via Zoom on March 1, at 12 pm EST. Papers are circulated one week in advance; each workshop session lasts one hour, the majority of which is dedicated to discussion.

To participate in the workshop, please email [email protected]. You will then be given the Zoom invitation, the meeting password, and the pre-circulated paper.
